About Legacy

The Legacy Programme collects and curates the pieces of information that make J. H Nketia such and endearing person. The programme will also seek the following:

1. Locate, document, and ensure the preservation of these scattered resources
2. Promote public access to these resources and foster dialogue around them
3. Ensure that all initiatives in the name of J H Nketia are true to his legacy

We believe that the vehicle for sharing legacy effectively, for growing it, and for engaging it in the promotion of his musical legacy, is dialogue. We actively open our Legacy work – on the life and times of Prof. J.H Nketia, the events and the people he influenced or was influenced by, to debate and to discuss.
